Cassette Cases

Cassette cases are a compact way to store and display Zaparoo NFC cards. Add printed wrap covers and the cases start to feel like a physical shelf for a digital game library.

Getting started​

Templates and covers​

You can create covers in Zaparoo Designer by choosing the Cassette tape case media type and one of the cassette cover templates.

Another option is the NFC Cassette Cover Generator, a desktop app by Anime0t4ku. It exports a single print-ready wrap cover with the back, spine, and front artwork combined.

The standalone generator includes:

  • Live full-wrap preview (back, spine, front)
  • SteamGridDB and TMDB artwork import
  • Custom colors, logos, and layouts
  • Reusable templates

Printing instructions​

For printing:

  • Glossy photo paper works well for cassette covers.
  • Use your printer or image software to print at the exact dimensions below.
  • Width: 4.11" (10.44 cm)
  • Height: 4" (10.16 cm)

Card storage​

For credit card size NFC cards, a 3D printable inlay can hold the cards inside the cassette case. The linked model includes:

  • Single card holder
  • Double card holder
  • Triple card holder

Game Boy cartridge storage​

Cassette cases can also store Game Boy cartridges with a different insert:

  1. Remove or trim the internal cassette pins from the case.
  2. Use a 3D printable Game Boy cartridge insert.
