Zaparoo Core v2.12.0 is now available. This release adds the Core-side support needed for the new Zaparoo Frontend, including faster media browsing, richer metadata and artwork APIs, per-system launcher settings, and favorites.
Zaparoo Frontend is now available. It's a new TV and controller-friendly frontend for browsing and launching your Zaparoo Core media library, currently targeted at MiSTer FPGA.
The release linked below is not the newest Frontend build. A new stable release is still a couple of weeks away, but development builds shared in Discord already include significant improvements. Join the Zaparoo Discord and check the #development channel before installing from the links on this page.
Zaparoo Core v2.11.0 is now available. This release adds optional Launch Guard for accidental tap protection, PixelCade LED marquee support, RePlayOS support, and a batch of media library, MiSTer, and ZapScript updates.
The Zaparoo MCP server described in this post is no longer maintained, and the zaparoo-mcp npm package has been deprecated. New integrations should use the Zaparoo CLI and Agent Skills. Existing MCP users should install the CLI and relevant Skills, verify their replacement workflow, then remove the old MCP configuration. The CLI is not a drop-in MCP server replacement.
Hey! I've just published a new official Zaparoo MCP server that can be used with AI assistants. I'll be going over a few examples of how it's been useful for me in development, and maybe someone else will find it fun to mess around with too.

While we are working on a major restyle of the user interface, this is a bugfix release. Some users reported that the cards printed in PDF raster were misplaced and clipped, and that vector mode was sometimes not returning any PDF. On top of that some features have been added...
Some Android users are reporting that their Pro purchase is no longer active after updating. First, try to go to Settings > Advanced and press the "Restore purchases" button. If that doesn't work, email me directly at support@zaparoo.com and I'll sort it out.
The Zaparoo App v1.10.1 update is now available in the App Store and Play Store. The App now has optional accounts via Zaparoo Online, over-the-air updates, various NFC handling fixes, and automatic device discovery on your local network.
