Hey! Welcome back to the community showcase. I've got another batch of awesome stuff from our Discord members to share. This one has custom MiSTer cases, floppy disk launches, card back templates, cassette inserts, and a few different ways to make Zaparoo feel more like a physical game library.

tunnotron3000

tunnotron3000 shared a MiSTer FPGA setup with an NFC Engine reader, then followed it up with a set of card back templates for Zaparoo cards. The backs give printed cards a bit of HuCard-style flair, and the gallery includes both finished examples and templates people can use for their own systems.

Karl Fayeton

Karl Fayeton showed a custom MiSTer case with a card slot built into the top, then demoed a game launching when a card slides into the case. The finished cards use a sleeve-and-insert style instead of printed stickers, with front and back artwork wrapped around the NFC card inside.

wonderloid3455

wonderloid3455 put together a cassette case insert and matching NFC card using Zaparoo Designer. It’s a small one-card example, but it shows how the tools can turn a plain card and case into the start of a real collection.

Moyugg

Moyugg shared a set of custom cassette case inserts with clean front, spine, and back layouts. They’re a good example of how much presentation you can add before the card even comes out of the case.

JakeTheDog

JakeTheDog printed and assembled the spring-loaded card reader case from the community projects list. It’s a familiar build now, but the printed parts, internal fit, and clicky card demo make this a useful look at how it comes together.

Galewin

Galewin used a USB floppy drive as the Zaparoo reader, with real floppy disks acting as the tokens. The gallery goes from the first launch demo through label tests, cutting, and finished disks, turning the whole thing into a stack of playable-looking floppies.

V1605

V1605 shared a stack of printed Zaparoo floppy disks stored in an old floppy disk case. It’s a small detail, but it makes the floppy setup feel like a real little game library.

Karine-Johanne

Karine-Johanne shared a set of PC Engine-style templates covering HuCard, CD-ROM, Super CD-ROM, Arcade Card, and SuperGrafx looks. It’s a useful batch for anyone building out NEC cards and wanting the designs to match the hardware a bit better.

Kuro_Nankin

Kuro_Nankin shared a set of custom printed Zaparoo discs for Metal Slug games across different systems. Cards get most of the attention, so it’s fun seeing the same idea carried over to a full disc layout.

If you've made something cool with Zaparoo, share it in the Discord! I love seeing what people come up with and I want to keep sharing here.
