Hi everyone. I've published the new Zaparoo CLI, along with seven Agent Skills for developing integrations, testing changes, and working with Zaparoo devices.

This is now the supported starting point for new command-line and AI-assisted Zaparoo development. If you want an agent to diagnose a Core device, prototype an integration, or check behavior against the public APIs, this is the package to give it.

The CLI is available now as @zaparoo/cli.

MiSTer running a game beside a phone showing Zaparoo Online backups

Hi everyone. I want to talk about Zaparoo Online properly for the first time.

Zaparoo Online isn't new. I've been poking at it on and off for a while now, adding things like online cards, decks and game distribution as I found places where an internet service could help. There were some cool ideas in there, but if you asked me exactly what Online was supposed to become, I don't think I had a very good answer.

I think I do now.

The first part is automatic device backups. The second is a new User API that lets you give apps access to your own Zaparoo data. They solve different problems, but together they finally gave Online a clear job: protect your setup off-site and let apps you choose do more with your Zaparoo data, without making normal Core use depend on an account.

Hey! Welcome back to the community showcase. I've got another batch of awesome stuff from our Discord members to share. Some seriously cool floppy reader builds this time, a full arcade coin mechanism, and lots of custom cards.

Zaparoo Frontend v1.2.0 and Zaparoo Core v2.15.0 are the next paired Zaparoo releases.

This update focuses on Frontend's new built-in MiSTer updater, a smoother CRT and browsing experience, more ways to customize your library, launchable ROM-less MiSTer cores, and local artwork scraping.

Thank you to Andrea Bogazzi for the Frontend startup and media loading performance work, and to theypsilon for developing and contributing the new built-in updater.
