- Interaction and accessibility: clearer swipe-back feedback, smoother modal gestures, haptics, and better screen reader behavior
- Background media controls: control foreground and background media separately

- Availability: v1.13.0 is currently limited to Google Play users outside France.
- iOS and France: The App Store and Google Play in France remain on v1.11.2 until the full release in about three weeks.
- Core version: Library needs Core v2.15.0 or newer. Device profiles and Online device linking need Core v2.16.0 or newer.
Browse your library
The new Library tab lets you browse systems and folders.
- Filter systems by category, manufacturer, and release period.
- Browse folders, sort media, or jump directly to a letter.
- View artwork, descriptions, release details, tags, and file information.
- Search the full library or keep a separate Favorites collection.
- Launch a title or write it to NFC using your phone or a compatible reader attached to Core.
Requires: Core v2.15.0 or newer and a generated media database.
Device profiles
Device profiles can now be managed under Settings > Play Controls.
- Create and edit profiles with admin or member roles.
- Set PINs and individual daily or session playtime limits.
- Switch the active profile or require one before launching.
- Write profile cards and reset old cards when needed.
Requires: Core v2.16.0 or newer and an admin connection for protected profile actions.
Background media controls
The Zap screen now shows foreground and background media separately. Each has its own stop action, and playlists include previous, play/pause, and next controls.
Requires: Core v2.15.0 or newer.
Interaction and accessibility
- Slide-up modals now follow drag gestures and use consistent action layouts.
- Swipe-back navigation now shows progress before completing.
- Buttons and other controls now give consistent haptic feedback where supported.
- Bottom tabs preserve their previous page and scroll position. Tapping the active tab again returns to its root or scrolls to the top.
- Inbox and Settings show unread counts, which can also appear on the App icon where supported.
- Focus handling, screen reader support, list navigation, modal accessibility, and safe-area handling are more consistent across the App.
- Supported translations have been updated.
Zaparoo Online and Warp
Settings > Online now includes options to subscribe to Zaparoo Warp, restore a purchase, and open subscription management. An active Warp subscription also includes Zaparoo App Pro.
The App also supports two-factor authentication and can link a compatible Core device to Zaparoo Online. Once linked, play history sync and automatic cloud backup can be enabled from the App. Device linking requires Core v2.16.0 or newer; automatic cloud backup requires Warp.
Connection fixes
- Pairing is preserved when a discovered device moves between an mDNS hostname and IP address.
- Stale token errors no longer appear after a successful reconnect, and Library artwork reloads when the connection returns.
- Connection messages distinguish connecting, reconnecting, Core unavailable, and no network.
Other changes
- NFC writes to Type 2 NDEF tags are read back before the App reports success, with retry and cancel options if the check fails.
- Scan history entries can be replayed while connected to Core.
- Media search supports selecting title tags for ZapScript and can show Core-provided disambiguating tags on Core v2.15.0 or newer.
- File-based Core mappings appear with a read-only badge on Core v2.15.0 or newer.
- Deep-link launches ask for confirmation, and the App accepts
zaparoo://runlinks. - Queued launches and writes no longer stall indefinitely during reconnects. Expired requests report that they were not delivered.
- Media indexing no longer offers a cancel action that could leave a partial database. Paused indexing can still be resumed.
- Indexing, optimization, and scraping controls now reflect Core's current state more accurately.
- Pairing can be opened manually from the device connection card. Settings that write to Core are disabled when the connected client lacks permission.
- Duplicate saved entries for the same Core device can be combined while keeping their addresses and pairing.
- Log uploads have clearer progress and a copyable result link. Sensitive values are redacted from App logs.
- Camera permission failures now explain that access must be enabled in system settings.
- Third-party software licenses can be searched and browsed from Settings > About.
As always, feedback and bug reports are welcome on Discord or GitHub.
